Crafting since2020

The story behind it

A candle maker who wanted the joy back in her craft.

Hi, I’m Leah. I’ve been making candles since 2020 — and I adore every single part of it. The scents, the textures, the quiet satisfaction of a perfectly smooth pour.

But over time, I found myself spending more energy managing information than actually making candles. Notebooks for formulas. Separate sheets for burn tests. Mental math at every pour. A different tool for every task.

I wanted something that would take all of that off my plate — so I could show up to my workbench and just create. Something intuitive, beautiful, and actually built around the way candle makers think and work.

So I built it myself. CandleEasy is the studio I always wished I had — and now it’s yours too, whether you’re a weekend hobbyist, a growing crafter, or a maker with a real business to run.

Make more. Stress less. Enjoy every pour.

With warmth — Leah L.

Take the guided tour

Your blend assistant

Magic Fragrance Scan: know how oils will blend before you buy them.

Every candle maker knows the feeling: two oils that smell wonderful on their own turn flat or muddy together, and the samples, the wax and the week of curing are gone. The Magic Fragrance Scan reads the notes of two to four fragrance oils straight from your supplier’s product pages and tells you how they are likely to work together, with a starting ratio to pour.

1

Paste the product links

Two to four fragrance oils from your favourite suppliers. No links? Type the notes in yourself.

2

We read the notes

Top, middle and base notes are read from the supplier’s own page and matched to our curated note dictionary.

3

You get a blend report

How the scents play together, what to watch for, and a recommended ratio to start testing in wax.

Heads upShared dominant note (cinnamon, clove) reduces the blend’s range.

Every report is a starting point to test in wax — pour it, burn it, and trust your own nose.

What your blend report shows

  • A blend score and verdict in plain candle-maker English.
  • A recommended starting ratio, with each oil named, not “Oil A and Oil B”.
  • The Maker’s Wheel: where your blend sits across the ten scent families.
  • A cold- and hot-throw read of how the blend is built from top to base.
  • Heads-ups and suggestions when a pairing risks going flat or crowded.
  • Blend History and a Blend Journal to save reports and track every ratio you pour.

Why you can trust it

  • Only real notes. A note counts only if it is actually printed on the supplier’s page. Nothing is guessed from the oil’s name.
  • A dictionary built by hand. 378 fragrance notes, 318 supplier spellings and 89 compound notes, each placed on the scent wheel by a person, not a guess.
  • Checked against proven blends. The scoring is tested against real formulas from an experienced candle business owner, including a blend that failed in wax.
  • You stay in charge. If a supplier’s page is misread, you can correct the notes and re-run the report.
  • Honest about its limits. Every report is a starting point to test in wax, never a promise.

Design Studio & Recipe Box

A candle formula in a few guided steps.

Design Studio walks you through your formula one step at a time, and does the math for you.

  • Vessel, wax, fragrance, wick, pour math, process temperatures, cure — all in one place.
  • It remembers your favourites. Your usual vessels, waxes, wicks and suppliers are one tap away next time.
  • From scan to formula. Send a blend from the Magic Fragrance Scan straight into a new formula.
  • A Recipe Box you’ll love opening. Every finished recipe as a card, ready to print, with jar labels in two styles.

Testing Lab

Burn testing, finally easy.

Your phone in one hand, the candle in front of you. The Testing Lab replaces the pile of notebooks.

  • Pour a tester from any recipe and it goes straight to the Curing Shelf, with a countdown to burn day.
  • A burn timer that follows you between your phone and your computer.
  • Log each burn with a few taps: melt pool, flame, throw, jar and wax pool temperatures, and the room.
  • Crown your winners. Approved recipes keep their crown and their full test history, ready to print.
